In this final episode of Series 2, we turn our attention to the energy and impact of community inclusion, welcoming Becky and Julie from DanceSyndrome and Jacob from Disability Opportunities in Sport UK. Together, they share what everyday inclusion looks like in practice- from dance studios to sports fields- and how these spaces can nurture confidence, wellbeing and belonging for people with learning disabilities. We explore the rhythms of their day‑to‑day work, the wider role their organisations play in the social care landscape, and the moments of joy, transformation and inspiration that keep them moving forward. As the series closes, the conversation looks ahead to future hopes, new projects and the continued push for accessible, person‑centred community opportunities.
Alongside this, we’re also pleased to share that we’ve recently completed a collaborative research project with DanceSyndrome on the design and use of creative research methods. The full report is available at Pathways to Participation.
And that’s a wrap!
